KISS is back.

Kiss is back and working in their new album expected to come out in 2010, also their is a tour expected this is what Paul Stanley had to say about it "We're about two weeks from the album being completed — the first album in ten years. It's very much a vintage, classic-sounding album, right back to our roots. We are really thrilled with it, and you will be, too. And that will be followed by a classic KISS tour — flying around the stage, blowing stuff up; all the stuff you want to see. When you are paying hard-earned money for a ticket, you should know where that money is going. And when you come to see us, it's like seeing  Superman at the circus."
They have officially been signed up for two one time concerts one at Summerfest 2009 in Milwaukee and at California's Mid-State Fair.
Ticket prices for the shows will be around $67 for general admission, $52 for lower bowl and $42 for nose bleeds.By partnering withEventful, the leading social media company for events, fans will "Demand" where KISS will perform on their latest trek across the top-voted North American markets beginning this September. No matter where the fans say — from stadiums to cornfields — if there are enough votes, KISS will be there! And in order to keep the competition fair for smaller cities, final site selection will weigh population size versus total votes. Fans across the U.S. and Canada can cast their votes at www.eventful.com/KISS to have their town included on the KISS 2009 North American tour.

So what do you think, is Kiss coming back for real or are they going to turn out to be sell outs like AC/DC and Metallica?

Obama getting into rock? and more news on Wes Borland's attack by Marilyn Manson.

Obama was to make his first Commencement speech in Arizona State University, but little did anyone know that world renown maniac Alice Cooper was there to do the opener for Obama, he performed his hit 'School’s Out' in front of the 72,000 people that were awaiting Obama's speech. Cooper performed with his son Dash's band "Runaway Phoenix", he will be graduating ASU in 2010.
According to CBS News, Cooper said he’s never been into politics and that when his parents would talk about politics or taxes when he was growing up, "I'd go into my room and play the Yardbirds or the Who loud." He also said that while he hasn't really talked to politicians, he has played golf with a number of former presidents at various events.

Heres a small preview:

Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland was a member of Manson's band and then left to join once again his original band Limp Bizkit. In an interview, Manson said, "We almost made the mistake of having Wes play guitar but he rejoined Limp Bizkit. That move forever eradicated my feelings on his choices in life as an artist."
When asked why he thinks Borland went back to his old band, Manson said: "That is what I find myself asking when I urinate sometimes. He said he would never go back. If the reason is money, then I'd rather roll up a $5 note and shove it up my urethra"
Wes said "I love Manson, he's definitely one of the wildest personalities I've ever been around and one of the smartest people I've ever met but it's the Marilyn Manson show over there Limp Bizkit is more of a band."

What do you think about Obamas choice to have Alice Cooper open up for him? Do you think politics are becoming more Rock and Roll?
And do you think Wes made the right choice to leave Manson?

Rockstar injured during robbery.

Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament was the victim of a violent robbery outside Southern Tracks Recording studios in Atlanta, where the band is recording their ninth studio album. The robbers came on the afternoon of April 27th with knives and they came out from the woods wearing black masks and gloves. The robbers smashed the windows of his rented Jeep and grabbed a BlackBerry before demanding more money. In total, Ament was robbed of $3,000 in cash and $4,320 worth of goods. The bassist was chased and knocked to the ground, sustaining a head injury. The attackers (who also stole Ament’s passport) escaped into a waiting black Nissan Maxima. The incident was captured on a surveillance camera, but no arrests have been made. Pearl Jam declined to comment on the incident.

The way I see seems as the richer you are the more likely to get robbed you are since people will know about your riches, take for example this case, Pearl Jam is very well known to everyone and the fact of them giving out the location where they were recording their new abum was rather stupid on their part because all taht does is incite people like do this to commit crimes.

Do you think the band is to balme also??

Job For A Cowboy wants you in their next video!

Heavy metal powerhouse band "Job For A Cowboy" has completed work on its hotly-anticipated sophomore album, entitled Ruination. The record will see a July, 2009 worldwide release date via Metal Blade Records. They will be shooting their first music video for their new song "Regurgitated Disinformation". On Saturday, June 6 in Philadelphia and they are inviting fans to attend and be a part of the event. The shoot will take place in Philly’s First Unitarian Church. Downloadable vouchers for the video shoot / live performance will cost just .94 cents and will go on sale tomorrow. The event voucher will be exchanged for an “admission wristband”on the day of the show. The wristband will guarantee admission to the show that evening as well as both a special meet and greet with Job For A Cowboy and a limited edition poster that includes a promo code to download a sampler featuring new music from Job for a Cowboy, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth and much more.

To me this sounds like a band who cares enough about their fans to actually give back to the "Heavy Metal Community". This to me sounds like the perfect way to advertise themselves to everyone. Think what band would ever do something like this, please even in these time you have bands charging $50 $60 to see them live, they are charging 94 cents. In addition to this JFAC annouced that for their Mayhem Festival presentations they will have In addition to Davy and Rice, and guitarists Bobby Thompson and Al Glassman and bassist Brent Riggs.

What do you think of this act of charity by a well known band?
Here's a little sample of JFAC, feast your virgin ears on this......

Van Halen next in the list and Linkin Park news

Activision yesterday just accepted the idea to make a Guitar Hero Van Halen. After their latest success Guitar Hero Metallica, Activision decided to make another giant into video-game heroes. Yesterday during an interview the band revealed some details such as the cast will be composed of Eddie Van Halen, his son Wolfgang Van Halen, and David Lee Roth, even though there are some rumors going along saying that the old members will be in also. Some guest appearances will include Queen, Weezer, Blink 182, and Queens of The Stoneage.

Also Linkin Park has been announced to be part of the Transformers 2 soundtrack for the second time, no details on what song will be included but this is what the singer had to say at an interview. The opportunity to be creatively involved with one of the most anticipated films of the summer is pretty exciting,” says Linkin Park co-vocalist Mike Shinoda. “It’s one thing to shoot a video that matches sound and vision, but making music that’s built for the big screen is a completely different challenge and we ran with it."

What do you think of these two huge announcements?

Funniest band ever seen.

I understand that this is supposed to be a blog about just metal but like they say credit is given to the best and in the comedic style of music right now that credit belongs to "The Lonely Island", whos hilarious lyrics have been entertaining kids in Youtube for quite a bit now.

The group is composed of three members Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone, and Andy Samberg (aka the Dudes). The group began creating live comedy skits in junior high and continued to do so, expanding its repertoire to comedic shorts and music parody (both songs and videos), before coming to the attention of Lorne Michaels of Saturday Night Live. Musically, they were raised on what Samberg told Rolling Stone was "standard Bay Area hippie sh*t" but they were more interested in hip-hop and soul music. Their name was formed when they moved together to an apartment which they called "The Lonely Island".

They all went to seperate colleges but they studied the same field: Film.
After they got back together the trio began making short movies and skits, which they went ahead and started posting on their website, which not only had videos but also included podcasts.
To get attention the group decided to start a mini sit com that they did weekly it only had a grand total of 3 episodes. From there on they moved on to make a parody of "Vanilla Sky".

Their biggest success was their new Cd "Incredibad" which includes all of their song parodies such as "I'm on a boat", "Ka-Blamo", "Just 2 Guyz" and "Stork Patrol". Most of their songs have a celebrity in them either making a cmeo or actually singing, celebrities such as T-Pain, Norah Jones, E-40, Sly & Robbie, Natalie Portman, Chris Parnell, and Justin Timberlake. But before SNL they had ttheir own show on Fox called "Awesometown" which followed a similar format to SNL. They also had many special guests during the recording of their shows such as Seth Rogen and Jack Black. SNL got their eye on them when they were invited to the MTV Movie Awards to showcase some of their material which left the producer of SNL impressed. This gained them the spot their in today.

This goes to show that even making a few online videos with your buddies can get you somewhere. Do you believe that things happen for a reason or is everything pre planned in life?
Here are some vids check them out.
SORRY FOR THE HARSH LANGUAGE.
