KISS is back.

Kiss is back and working in their new album expected to come out in 2010, also their is a tour expected this is what Paul Stanley had to say about it "We're about two weeks from the album being completed — the first album in ten years. It's very much a vintage, classic-sounding album, right back to our roots. We are really thrilled with it, and you will be, too. And that will be followed by a classic KISS tour — flying around the stage, blowing stuff up; all the stuff you want to see. When you are paying hard-earned money for a ticket, you should know where that money is going. And when you come to see us, it's like seeing  Superman at the circus."
They have officially been signed up for two one time concerts one at Summerfest 2009 in Milwaukee and at California's Mid-State Fair.
Ticket prices for the shows will be around $67 for general admission, $52 for lower bowl and $42 for nose bleeds.By partnering withEventful, the leading social media company for events, fans will "Demand" where KISS will perform on their latest trek across the top-voted North American markets beginning this September. No matter where the fans say — from stadiums to cornfields — if there are enough votes, KISS will be there! And in order to keep the competition fair for smaller cities, final site selection will weigh population size versus total votes. Fans across the U.S. and Canada can cast their votes at www.eventful.com/KISS to have their town included on the KISS 2009 North American tour.

So what do you think, is Kiss coming back for real or are they going to turn out to be sell outs like AC/DC and Metallica?

Obama getting into rock? and more news on Wes Borland's attack by Marilyn Manson.

Obama was to make his first Commencement speech in Arizona State University, but little did anyone know that world renown maniac Alice Cooper was there to do the opener for Obama, he performed his hit 'School’s Out' in front of the 72,000 people that were awaiting Obama's speech. Cooper performed with his son Dash's band "Runaway Phoenix", he will be graduating ASU in 2010.
According to CBS News, Cooper said he’s never been into politics and that when his parents would talk about politics or taxes when he was growing up, "I'd go into my room and play the Yardbirds or the Who loud." He also said that while he hasn't really talked to politicians, he has played golf with a number of former presidents at various events.

Heres a small preview:

Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland was a member of Manson's band and then left to join once again his original band Limp Bizkit. In an interview, Manson said, "We almost made the mistake of having Wes play guitar but he rejoined Limp Bizkit. That move forever eradicated my feelings on his choices in life as an artist."
When asked why he thinks Borland went back to his old band, Manson said: "That is what I find myself asking when I urinate sometimes. He said he would never go back. If the reason is money, then I'd rather roll up a $5 note and shove it up my urethra"
Wes said "I love Manson, he's definitely one of the wildest personalities I've ever been around and one of the smartest people I've ever met but it's the Marilyn Manson show over there Limp Bizkit is more of a band."

What do you think about Obamas choice to have Alice Cooper open up for him? Do you think politics are becoming more Rock and Roll?
And do you think Wes made the right choice to leave Manson?

Rockstar injured during robbery.

Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament was the victim of a violent robbery outside Southern Tracks Recording studios in Atlanta, where the band is recording their ninth studio album. The robbers came on the afternoon of April 27th with knives and they came out from the woods wearing black masks and gloves. The robbers smashed the windows of his rented Jeep and grabbed a BlackBerry before demanding more money. In total, Ament was robbed of $3,000 in cash and $4,320 worth of goods. The bassist was chased and knocked to the ground, sustaining a head injury. The attackers (who also stole Ament’s passport) escaped into a waiting black Nissan Maxima. The incident was captured on a surveillance camera, but no arrests have been made. Pearl Jam declined to comment on the incident.

The way I see seems as the richer you are the more likely to get robbed you are since people will know about your riches, take for example this case, Pearl Jam is very well known to everyone and the fact of them giving out the location where they were recording their new abum was rather stupid on their part because all taht does is incite people like do this to commit crimes.

Do you think the band is to balme also??

Job For A Cowboy wants you in their next video!

Heavy metal powerhouse band "Job For A Cowboy" has completed work on its hotly-anticipated sophomore album, entitled Ruination. The record will see a July, 2009 worldwide release date via Metal Blade Records. They will be shooting their first music video for their new song "Regurgitated Disinformation". On Saturday, June 6 in Philadelphia and they are inviting fans to attend and be a part of the event. The shoot will take place in Philly’s First Unitarian Church. Downloadable vouchers for the video shoot / live performance will cost just .94 cents and will go on sale tomorrow. The event voucher will be exchanged for an “admission wristband”on the day of the show. The wristband will guarantee admission to the show that evening as well as both a special meet and greet with Job For A Cowboy and a limited edition poster that includes a promo code to download a sampler featuring new music from Job for a Cowboy, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth and much more.

To me this sounds like a band who cares enough about their fans to actually give back to the "Heavy Metal Community". This to me sounds like the perfect way to advertise themselves to everyone. Think what band would ever do something like this, please even in these time you have bands charging $50 $60 to see them live, they are charging 94 cents. In addition to this JFAC annouced that for their Mayhem Festival presentations they will have In addition to Davy and Rice, and guitarists Bobby Thompson and Al Glassman and bassist Brent Riggs.

What do you think of this act of charity by a well known band?
Here's a little sample of JFAC, feast your virgin ears on this......

Van Halen next in the list and Linkin Park news

Activision yesterday just accepted the idea to make a Guitar Hero Van Halen. After their latest success Guitar Hero Metallica, Activision decided to make another giant into video-game heroes. Yesterday during an interview the band revealed some details such as the cast will be composed of Eddie Van Halen, his son Wolfgang Van Halen, and David Lee Roth, even though there are some rumors going along saying that the old members will be in also. Some guest appearances will include Queen, Weezer, Blink 182, and Queens of The Stoneage.

Also Linkin Park has been announced to be part of the Transformers 2 soundtrack for the second time, no details on what song will be included but this is what the singer had to say at an interview. The opportunity to be creatively involved with one of the most anticipated films of the summer is pretty exciting,” says Linkin Park co-vocalist Mike Shinoda. “It’s one thing to shoot a video that matches sound and vision, but making music that’s built for the big screen is a completely different challenge and we ran with it."

What do you think of these two huge announcements?

Funniest band ever seen.

I understand that this is supposed to be a blog about just metal but like they say credit is given to the best and in the comedic style of music right now that credit belongs to "The Lonely Island", whos hilarious lyrics have been entertaining kids in Youtube for quite a bit now.

The group is composed of three members Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone, and Andy Samberg (aka the Dudes). The group began creating live comedy skits in junior high and continued to do so, expanding its repertoire to comedic shorts and music parody (both songs and videos), before coming to the attention of Lorne Michaels of Saturday Night Live. Musically, they were raised on what Samberg told Rolling Stone was "standard Bay Area hippie sh*t" but they were more interested in hip-hop and soul music. Their name was formed when they moved together to an apartment which they called "The Lonely Island".

They all went to seperate colleges but they studied the same field: Film.
After they got back together the trio began making short movies and skits, which they went ahead and started posting on their website, which not only had videos but also included podcasts.
To get attention the group decided to start a mini sit com that they did weekly it only had a grand total of 3 episodes. From there on they moved on to make a parody of "Vanilla Sky".

Their biggest success was their new Cd "Incredibad" which includes all of their song parodies such as "I'm on a boat", "Ka-Blamo", "Just 2 Guyz" and "Stork Patrol". Most of their songs have a celebrity in them either making a cmeo or actually singing, celebrities such as T-Pain, Norah Jones, E-40, Sly & Robbie, Natalie Portman, Chris Parnell, and Justin Timberlake. But before SNL they had ttheir own show on Fox called "Awesometown" which followed a similar format to SNL. They also had many special guests during the recording of their shows such as Seth Rogen and Jack Black. SNL got their eye on them when they were invited to the MTV Movie Awards to showcase some of their material which left the producer of SNL impressed. This gained them the spot their in today.

This goes to show that even making a few online videos with your buddies can get you somewhere. Do you believe that things happen for a reason or is everything pre planned in life?
Here are some vids check them out.
SORRY FOR THE HARSH LANGUAGE.

Greatest Year For Metal.

This year so far has been insane for metal, opning up with Iron Maiden and AC/DC.

But now the real mayhem will start and it will all kick off this saturday at the Culture Room here in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Where it will hold melodic metal gods Amon Amarth and rumors have been told that there have been insane viking fights during their songs from their new album Twighlight Of The Thunder God. Moving on from there we have the legendary thrash band Exodus touring with Kreator and yes that is spelled with a "k", Exodus will be playing their famous album "Shovel Headed Kill Machine". Then it will follow up with world famous band Judas Priest doing their whole "British Metal" cd. Right after we have the Mayhem Festival which will include bands such as Whitechapel, Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, Bullet For My Valentine, Killswitch Engage and Marilyn Manson. Doesn't that soound like perfection?

And to end it all we have Metallica touring for their new album and for those going I hear that they have been putting a hell of a show and also Lamb Of God is rumored to open for them at the show.

What do you think of this?

Band Of The Week: Slayer!!!!!

Slayer is an American thrash metal band from Huntington Park, California. Slayer was formed in 1981, when guitarist Kerry King met Jeff Hanneman while auditioning for a band. The two recruited bassist and vocalist Tom Araya, who had played with King before in the band Quits. Drummer Dave Lombardo was recruited when he met King delivering a pizza. They started by playing Iron Maiden covers in clubs. At the beginning during their early shows relied on a Satanic image, which featured pentagrams, make-up, spikes, and inverted crosses.

The band was offered to open for Bitch at the Woodstock Club in LA. While performing the band was spotted by Brian Slagel, a former music journalist who had recently founded Metal Blade Records. Impressed with Slayer's performance, Slagel met with the band backstage and asked them to record an original song, "Aggressive Perfector". This gave them their first record deal with Metal Blade. During the the recording of their first album "Show No Mercy". Without a recording budget, the band was forced to self-finance its debut album. Combining the savings of Araya, who was employed as a respiratory therapist, and money borrowed from King's father. The album was rushed into release, hitting shelves three weeks after tracks were completed.
Some of their most famous albums and also the most controversial are "Reign In Blood" which contained their most famous song till today "Raining Blood". Then "South Of Heaven" which was a contrast to their past albums since they had a tempo change to a slower version and also more melodic sounding lyrics, and last but not least their most recent album "Christ Illusion", which up until today is known to be their most controversial album, not only for it's morbid lyrics and their heavy tones.

The band has admitted to have been inspired by bands such as Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax.

Some of the biggest controversies that the band has been blamed for have been being accused of holding Nazi sympathies, due to the band's eagle logo bearing resemblance to the Eagle atop swastika, and the lyrics of "Angel of Death." The lyrics of "Angel of Death" were inspired by the acts of Josef Mengele. Throughout their career, the band members were asked about these accusations, and have stated numerous times they do not condone Nazism and are merely interested in the subject. Slayer's cover of Minor Threat's "Guilty of Being White" raised questions about a possible message of white supremacy in the band's music. The controversy surrounding the cover involved the changing of the refrain "guilty of being white" to "guilty of being right," at the song's ending. When questioned about it Kerry King just laughed and said "people are just too sensitive these days".

Also Slayer fans have been known be deadly to the point of beatings and fights for no reason at concerts to carving of their bodies with the band's name such as the picture below, also up till today there have been 6 deaths at Slayer concerts.

Here's a video that talks about Slayer fans:

Heres is their most famous song Raining Blood, tell me what you think.

Iron Maiden Film.

Yes the rumors are true and Iron Maiden is releasing a documentary about their latest tour, which ended here in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This film will include all the backstage footage such as the flights, practice footage, and some songs thrown here and there. Also this movie will be released in theaters, none in our area yet, sadly enough. The title was acquired from the fact that instead of a tour bus, the band rented a Boeing 757 which front man Bruce Dickinson piloted. As a result, Iron Maiden played live in thirteen different countries in just six weeks, clocking up 30,000 miles in the process. The film won the Best Documentary prize at this year's South by Southwest film festival and Iron Maiden collected the BRIT award for Best Live Band earlier this year.
Dickinson and McBrain were clearly comfortable with the seven-man camera crew. Their colleagues, including band leader and bassist Steve Harris, took longer to accept the intrusion. The filmmakers bonded with elusive guitarist Adrian Smith because they all played tennis. Another guitarist, Janick Gers, steered clear of the filmmakers until the last week.

Also in other news Maiden is planning another album which will be released in 2010 and they already hinted of another tour and they hinted for another Florida show. Thank God.

Watch the trailer and tell me what you think.

Preview.

Time for some quality on the band of the week.

Ladies and gentlemen I give you Tenacious D.

Many of you are probably familiar with the movie "Tenacious D And The Pick Of Destiny", well yes this is a real band and they are very well known amongst the teenage crowd for their comedic music, including songs such as "Car Chase City" and "Tribute".

The band was formed as a side project by Jack Black and Kyle Gass when they met during the Edinburgh Fringe of 1989 in Scotland. Theywere both members of the Los Angeles theatre troupe, The Actors' Gang which was performing Tim Robbins' and Adam Simon's play Carnage. Initially there was clashing between the two as Gass felt threatened by Black, who was the main musician for the Actor's Gang, though they eventually worked out their differences, and agreed to form a band. Gass taught Black to play guitar, in exchange for Black helping Gass with his acting. Initially when Black and Gass performed live they covered songs by Bobby McFerrin.

Up until 1994 the duo did not have a name, so they gave the audience at their first concert, at the now defunct Al's Bar, the chance to vote for one. Black and Gass gave them the choiceto vote. "Tenacious D did not get the majority of votes, however, but according to Black "we forced it through".

The band started their fame with their HBO series titled after them in 1997. While a total of three episodes consisting of two shorts, ten to twelve minutes in length, were produced, only the first was aired that year; the final two episodes did not air until the summer of 2000. According to Gass, the series was cancelled after HBO requested ten episodes, but in doing so, he and Black would have to relinquish their role as executive producers, and only write songs. Gass and Black decided to make a movie instead. this was the birth of their first album also titled after them.

In October 2003 Black announced that the screenplay for The Pick of Destiny, a fictional portrayal of the band's formation had been completed, Filming had been expected to take place by the end of 2003, however it was delayed by almost a year due to Black being cast in Peter Jackson's big budget remake of King Kong. The band started recording songs for the soundtrack of the movie, their second studio album, The Pick of Destiny. The album had John Konesky and John Spiker from Trainwreck on electric guitar and bass respectively. Dave Grohl again played drums, and further lent vocals to "Beelzeboss (The Final Showdown)" as well as acting in the film, as Satan. By 2010 Tenacious D is planning to release a new album entitled "Death Star". Kyle has commented that the new album only has "one to one and a half" songs written for it, and would like to write between 12 and 15.

Here are a couple live videos of them playing tell me what you think.

Behemoth To Realease a new album.

Polish metal band Behemothn have set their new album to be realesd, it will be titled "Evangelion", this will be the bands 9th full lenght studio album, its to be released over this years summer.

Frontman Adam "Nergal" Darski commented: "I've had this title in my head for almost a year now and it grew on me. It sounds nothing but powerful and epic which perfectly mirrors the essence of the new album. 'Evangelion' comes from a Greek word [meaning] 'spreading the word of God' or 'spreading the good news'… Oh, well, you already know that we love to play with the meanings and symbolism. We're here to show you our interpretation of what 'Evangelion' really is." He also mentioned that compared to 2007's album 'The Apostasy' he is way more excited to record and work into new stuff.

The only way I can describe Behemoths music is by saying "Most of their songs are really fast, technical and intense, at the same time there's a lot of diversity. There's even a very slow, massive song that's probably the most epic tracks in Behemoth's history. There's probably a more sinister vibe in their music than in Marilyn Manson's or Ozzy Osbourne's music.

Behemoth has also been confirmed for the second annual Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, set to take place this summer. The band will perform on the Hot Topic stage alongside Black Dahlia Murder Job for a cowboy and Whitechapel on over 25 dates.

Listen to them and tell me what you think.

Killswitch Engage to release a new album.

The Massachusetts metal band Killswitch Engage will be releasing a new Cd under their name, yes i realize that its not a creative name but like they say don't judge a book by it's cover, or in my opinion don't judge a band by it's Cd cover especially if it's Killswitch Engage, the album is scheduled for june 30th. The CD was produced by Brendan O'Brien (producer of AC/DC, Rage Against The Machine) and co-produced by guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz.
Songtitles set to appear on the album include "Reckoning", "The Forgotten", "Light in a Darkened World" and "Starting Over".
Commented vocalist Howard Jones: "It was time for us to step outside of our comfort zone and try something a little different with this record. It definitely still sounds like us, but we needed to be refreshed and take things a little further."
Killswitch has been playing one of their new songs while touring with Disturbed in the Music As Weapon Tour, the songs title is "Light in a Darkened World", the group also performed the song at the first annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards, which was held on Tuesday, April 7 in Los Angeles. The song, sandwiched between "My Curse" and the band's uniquely KILLSWITCH'ed cover of DIO's classic song "Holy Diver", which resulted in plenty of excitement among the crowd and set the tone for the show. Also the band is excited to perform their new songs at "The Mayhem Festival" along with headliners Slayer and Marylin Manson.
More information on the upcoming CD will be made available soon at RoadrunnerRecords.com.
heres a video of their number one song "Holy Diver".

How Embassing!

"The Lord Of Metal" Ozzy Osbourne is officially sixty and still does not own a license to drive among the population of other Californians. Watch out Californians here comes Ozzy, with his hearse. He has set set the goal of learning to drive this year, so he can get a little quiet time. He says, "My house is like an insane asylum and I thought, 'It would be great to get in my car and drive around the block - just to be on my own.'" But Ozzy admits he's struggling to find driving instructors who will give him lessons. He explains, "Nobody will stay in the car with me for more than three lessons; they all think I'm nuts." His wife Sharon put her life in Ozzy's hands earlier this month when she let the rocker drive her the two hours from Los Angeles to Palm Springs.

In my opinion I don't blame any of those instructors for not wanting to be in the car with Ozzy, I would be scared of driving with this crack case too. Hes a deranged maniac......... Naw im just kidding, Ozzy has always been the Lord Of Metal and will remain so but after the antics hes had would you wannna be his driver instructor?

Slipknot Is In Legal Trouble. Yet another sad case where Metal is the "cause"?

The last time we heard the words legal issues and Slipknot were back in January when there was a death in one of their concerts in their home city of Iowa, or also the time when Slipknot threatend to sue Burger King for using their persona in their "Chicken Fries Commercial", but now once again the group find themselves in legal problem for yet another death but this time not in a concert but in California where two teens killed a friend of theirs, the young woman Amber Rose Riley wass accused of helping Jason Harris kill 22-year-old Terry Taylor in 2003.

But during their trial she said that what enticed her into the murder was a song out of he band's "Disasterpiece", that includes lyrics that mention the killing of a victim through slitting of their throat, Taylor was stabbed more than 20 times, and his neck was slashed in the brutal attack. Harris was sentenced to serve 50 years to life behind bars in August.

Harris reportedly told San Bernardino police detectives that he wanted to know what it was like to kill someone and Khim told the jury that Riley admitted to having "a fascination about what it would be like to see a dead body".
I wanna hear your opinions on wether you believe that murders should be blamend on heavy metal music?. I truthfully believe that rap is more likely to drive people to kill others because of its high content of curse words and lyrical themes for songs, a good example of this the genre best known as "Ganasta Rap". But what do you think?

Band Of The Week #5

The Jimi Hendrix Experience was a band formed in London in 1966. When Hendrix got to London with his new manager Chas Chandler he decided that it was time to move from a solo career into a permanent band, he began tryouts and autoaticaly he acquired bassist Noel Redding. That same year Hendrix met his most valuable musical partner, drummer Mitch Mitchell. The name The Jimi Hendrix Experience was coined by their business manager Mike Jeffery. They were one of the few bands that started the "power trio" band type such as Cream, meaning a band that only involves three members. Hendrix mixed lead and rhythm guitar duties into one, while also making use of guitar effects such as feedback and later the wah-wah pedal to an extent that had never been heard before. Their first huge show was in the USA after the Monterey Pop Festival, the band delivered and outstanding performance which other than having the big name star (Hendrix) gave them their fame. After the festival they were then asked to go on tour with The Monkees as the opening act. They left the tour after only a few dates, Chas Chandler later said that it was all a publicity stunt. With the band, Hendrix recorded his five hit singles "Hey Joe", "Purple Haze", "The Wind Cries Mary", "Burning of the Midnight Lamp" and "All Along the Watchtower", and his three most successful albums, Are You Experienced, Axis: Bold as Love, and Electric Ladyland.

Hendrix decided to split the group in 1969, the deteriorating relationship with Redding caused the band to dissolve. In August 1969, Hendrix joined with another "power trio" band known as "Band Of Gypsies", which broke up in 1970. Then Hendrix got "The experience" back together without Redding, drugs were a companion, performances usually ended late shaded into parties that lasted till the morning, often to the detriment of the music, especially when the band began to tour via airplane, necessitating early wakeup calls and taking away the hours of sleep and relaxation on the Greyhound that had been their staple before 1968. Hendrix himself had begun to experiment with depressants and other psychadelic drugs, his own performance had become erratic, resulting in inter-band conflicts that contributed to the first breakup.
This lead to his death in the same year.

A bit late but here is Band Of The Week #4

I know last week I forgot to entretain you guys with a band of the week so this week we are having back to back bands of the week, last week's band of the week was none other than "The Beast" Iron Maiden.

Iron Maiden is an English heavy metal band from Leyton, East London, England, formed in 1975. The band got started as a side project by bassist Steve Harris, shortly after he left his previous group, Smiler. The longest living members of the original band are Steve Harris and guitarist Dave Murray. Original vocalist Paul Day was fired as he lacked "energy or charisma onstage". The band split in 1976, A poor gig at the Bridgehouse in November 1977, with a makeshift line-up including Tony Moore on keyboards, Terry Wapram on guitar, and drummer Barry Purkis resulted in Harris firing the entire band. Dave Murray was reinstated and Doug Sampson was hired as drummer. They struck gold in 1978 when they released their first demo The Soundhouse Tapes. Featuring only three songs, the band sold all five thousand copies within weeks. Several other guitarists were temporarily hired until the band finally settled on Dennis Stratton. In 1980 they reached the UK Albums Chart with their first album "Iron Maiden", the group became one of the leading proponents of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement.

By 1981, Paul Di'Anno was demonstrating increasingly self-destructive behaviour, particularly through cocaine usage. His performances began to suffer, just as the band was beginning to achieve large-scale success in America. At the end of 1981 the band fired Di'Anno and began to seek a new vocalist. Bruce Dickinson tried out and became the band's new vocalist.

After their release of their album "The Number Of The Beast" Iron Maiden was declared to be "Satanist" in many countries. To the point where a group of Christian activists went on to destroy Iron Maiden records in protest against the band.
The band released Powerslave on September 9, 1984. The album featured fan favourites "2 Minutes to Midnight", "Aces High", and "Rime of The Ancient Mariner". The tour following the album, dubbed the World Slavery Tour, was the band's biggest to date and consisted of 193 shows over 13 months. This was one of the biggest tours in music history.

In 1995 the band released 'The X Factor', the band faced their lowest chart position since 1981 for an album in the UK . Chief songwriter Harris was experiencing personal problems at the time with the break-up of his marriage, and many fans and critics feel the album's sound is a reflection of this.

Now it is 2009 and Maiden has set out to run their best tour yet, rumor has it that this is their last tour before retierment and guess what city and arena got selected to be their closing show for their tour, The Bank Atlantic Center in Ft.Lauderdale, Florida.

Do you feel honored that we got selected out of any city to be their last American Tour Date?

Metallica's front-man is recovering.

Metallica front-man is recovering from his dehydration virus which doctors have narrowed down to a 24 hr virus or a bad oyster, in an interview James Hetfield said "I hate to admit it but yes even an oyster can take me down", the super star is currently recovering. Because of this disease their show that was scheduled for March 8th at Stockholm's Globe Arena, some fans are crossing their fingers for Metallica to still reschedule for this show, Hetfield said "I acknowledge and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused to fans who had traveled near and far for this show. I had done everything possible to make it, and I was at the point of falling if I stood up. On a lighter note since my illness, the support band "Swedish Oyster Club" will be thrown out of thee tour. More cowbell..... More like...... More barf bags."
What do you think of James' apology, if you were a fan would you accept it?

Band Of The Week # 3

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Well it is the third week that I personally do "Band Of The Week" and until now I've only been doing famous bands with big names so I decided to take this time to take you guys into the world of underground bands that are partly known and local. This week we start with the band Here We Rise.
You've probably seen them before at the Talent Farm or at Revolution Live before and if you havent today is the day to check them out, go to their Myspace page at http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=388023152

They started like any local band would, local kids that are friends and they decide "Hey lets start a band" , these kids have a real talent worth admiring, their music choices were metal, grindcore or hardcore. They went with a mix of all those together, if you want to check theme out they will be playing a show on friday at The Talent Farm. Line up is on guitars you have the talented Kyle and Jose, bassist Steve, drummer A.j. Lino and singer/screamer David. They are trying to get votes to play at Vans Warp Tour and recently looking for a record label but they do have shirts and demos at their shows if you may be interested message me and I'll talk to them for you.
If it was up to me, there wouldn't be no such thing as the establishment - Jimi Hendrix

Crue Fest 2???

Yes it is official, Motley Crue has made the final decision to hold another Crue Fest on 2009, bands involved so far include Godsmack, Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper. Motley Crue also gave the greatest news ever since their new CD "Saints Of Los Angeles" , for this tour they plan to only play their most legendary album "Dr. Feelgood" which for anyone that can remember it is known as the album that brought fame to Motley Crue, which also was a number one on the Billboard Charts. Most details will be revealed on March 13th at an interview their having in New York City. In my opinion this was a great idea on Crue's mind since most people that truly know them would pick Dr. Feelgood over any other one of their albums.

What do you think of this choice?

Week # 2: Amon Amarth.

Imagine this: A viking ship rowing through the raging seas. now think of that scene as you listen to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhwHH9zimW4

Doesn't that seem to fit in perfectly this song is called "Guardians of Asgaard" by none other that the melodic viking metal band Amon Amarth, they came from Tumba, Sweden. The band started with the name Scum, the original members were vocalist Themgoroth (original singer), guitarist Olavi Mikkonen, and bassist Ted Lundström. They were recognized as grindcore.

When Johan Hegg joined the band they concentrated more towards the melodic death metal sound. They changed their name to Amon Amarth on 1992 after their first demo. They became so known that when they released their second demo "The Arrival of the Fimbul Winter", in 1994, they sold all 1000 demo discs in less than 12 hours.
They then signed with Metal Blade Records, and with the release of the album Once Sent from the Golden Hall in 1998, their popularity rose internationally. Since then they have done multiple Canada and US tours, festival appearances, five music videos, and appearances in over 100 metal magazines. In early January 2008, their first tour of Australia and New Zealand took place, along with supporting Dimmu Borgir, after finishing a US and Canadian tour with Sonic Syndicate and Himsa.
Amon Amarth extended their record deal with Metal Blade Records for three more albums.
After extending their record deal, the band released Twilight of the Thunder God, which featured guest appearances by Lars Göran Petrov of Entombed, Roope Latvala of Children of Bodom, and the cello metal band Apocalyptica.
Amon Amarth has embarked on a North American headlining tour in October 2008, with support from Ensiferum, Belphegor, and a melodic death metal band from Tampa named The Absence. The band are also touring as support for the thrash metal band Slayer throughout Europe on the Unholy Alliance Chapter III.

Check out Amon Amarth and their melodic viking/Norse/pre christian music and tell me what you think.

Nikki Sixx has got problems. Caution video contains foul language.

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx got in trouble yet again, this time it wasnt drug related but it was involving crowd problems. During one of the sshows for the band anaikki threw a water bottle at the crowd which one of the crowd tthrew back at him, it flew over his head but the bassist remained mad which caused him to start cursing at the crowd member.

In an interview he said "There was a recent event at one of our shows where someone threw a bottle at me during my speech and I got pretty pissed. The way it happened is, I threw a bottle of water to some fans and didn't realize the very bottle I threw to the fans was thrown back at me. I have to admit, bands get pretty pissed when people throw shit at you onstage. I didn't even think it was the same bottle, so with that being said, I'd like to say I'm sorry to the fan who threw the bottle back at me."These damn cliches seem to be true, like 'two wrongs don't make a right...'"Rock 'n' roll, and temper tantrums…"P.S.: These self-help books are really helping. Ha-Ha."

I found the crowd member to be overly disripectful but Nikki had no real why to back up the way he acted.

What do you think about this matter??

Band Of The Week. #1

Well ladies and germs I' am starting a new weekly idea which I would like to call "The Band Of The Week", where i will describe to you a few known and unknown bands that you should listen to.

This weeks band of the week is none other than the German industrial band Rammstein.

Rammstein have been around since 1994, though they consider themselves metal most fans and critics call them Industrial which is a type of music involving metal, techno and electronica. The band was created by guitarist Richard Z Kruspe. when he ran away from West Berlin in 1989. The band members include singer Till Lindemann , guitarists Richard Z Kruspe and Paul Landers, Bassist Oliver Riedel, Keyboardist
Christian Lorenz and drummer Christoph Schneider.

Their music is heavy and it makes you want to dance at the same time listen to a couple of their songs such as: Du Hast.

Links 234
The best part abou this band is not their music but their live shows which are filled with pyrotechnincs from live flamethrowers to the singer bei
ng fully engulfed in flames, comedy, and some brutal scenes. Most of their lyrics are open ended and when translated into English they don't make sense, such as the lyrics from Du Hast translate into You... You hate... You Hate me.....
They've had many successful albums such as Herzeleid, Sehnsucht, Mutter, Reise Reise, and Rosenrot.
But their most talked about album is yet to come in 2009 which according to the band is gonna be their best album yet, they confirmed a "big world tour" following the next album to contain U.S. dates.
Listen to them and tell me what you think?

Ozzy Osbourne Is In Process Of Makin A New CD.

After his successful CD "Black Rain", Ozzy is in the studio once again for another stone to be added to his legacy according to Rolling Stone magazine he is in the studio once again for another recording which this time he promises a massive collection of new sounds and lyrics that are promised to be more epic than before, The lord of darkness is back and ready to re take his throne. The only bad side to the story is that Ozzfest will be late this year, but hey Ozzy is bringing new stuff.

In my opinion Ozzy as been around for what 10000 years now I think he should just stick to retirement and keep doing hes show which gets more hits every single day. what do you think?

Iron Maiden Is Back And Better Than Ever.

Well it's official Iron Maiden members have put their differences aside and decided to come together once again for a world tour and this time like their promotional poster shows they are in it to rock the world inside out, this is not only a rare ocassion because of the rarity to see Maiden back together ut what makes it even more strange is the location where they plan to start their U.S.A portion of their tour, it is Ft. Lauderdale, Florida at the ank Atlantic Center. Yes, iam excited for this but the real question is are you ready to get your brains scrambled by the legacy, the lened, the monster known as Iron Maiden. Many of people are saying that they are way too old to be playing yet you see bands such as AC DC and metallica coming ack with new CD'S.

Do you think that Iron Maiden is too old to still be playing?

Metallica to be inducted in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

Well even though it took so many freaking years Metallica is finally in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, after all their many successful records such as Master Of Puppets, Load and Reload, and Kill Them All. If there is anyone out there that deserves this more than this band please enlighten me with it because the way i see it is that Metallica since their beginnings back in 1981 when the drummer Lars Ulrich got the band together have deserved this more than anyone. Even more than Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd, although their new cd Death Magnetic or the worst CD Saint Anger have been horrible and anything but master pieces they always seem to redeem themselves with their past records. All I have to say is Metallica is the most deserving band out there. So now let me hear your opinions about this.

Lamb Of God's New CD

Lamb Of God has decided to work on their fifth record since "Sacrament" which reached number 9 on the Top Record List and was nominated for a Grammy, this took place during their Gigantour with Megadeth. i've been listening to a couple ddemo songs and the record seems to have some potential but i completely doubt that they will ever reach the high point where they were before back in 2006. Drummer Chris Adler said "This album is going to surprise a lot of people. Typically bands that get to where we are in our career begin to slack off, smell the roses and regurgitate. We chose a different path. No one wants to hear another band member hyping a new record. ‘Wrath’ needs no hype. We have topped ourselves and on February 24 you will feel it." During an interview.

You can listen to one of the new songs here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZvBFI-w2Bs

I wanna hear you guy's opinion.
