Iron Maiden Film.

Yes the rumors are true and Iron Maiden is releasing a documentary about their latest tour, which ended here in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This film will include all the backstage footage such as the flights, practice footage, and some songs thrown here and there. Also this movie will be released in theaters, none in our area yet, sadly enough. The title was acquired from the fact that instead of a tour bus, the band rented a Boeing 757 which front man Bruce Dickinson piloted. As a result, Iron Maiden played live in thirteen different countries in just six weeks, clocking up 30,000 miles in the process. The film won the Best Documentary prize at this year's South by Southwest film festival and Iron Maiden collected the BRIT award for Best Live Band earlier this year.
Dickinson and McBrain were clearly comfortable with the seven-man camera crew. Their colleagues, including band leader and bassist Steve Harris, took longer to accept the intrusion. The filmmakers bonded with elusive guitarist Adrian Smith because they all played tennis. Another guitarist, Janick Gers, steered clear of the filmmakers until the last week.

Also in other news Maiden is planning another album which will be released in 2010 and they already hinted of another tour and they hinted for another Florida show. Thank God.

Watch the trailer and tell me what you think.

Preview.
